My Birthday According to the Bible

So, it was my birthday yesterday (March 26). And someone gave me an incredible idea! I am going to look up all of the 3:26 verses in the Bible for each book. I know that every one will not necessarily be relevant or even deep for me. But it will be a fun little experiment, and who knows, God could be revealing something to me in one of those verses.

Numbers - “…the hangings of the court, the screen for the door of the court that is around the tabernacle and the altar, and its cords-all the service connected with these.”

Deuteronomy - “But the Lord was angry with me because of you and would not listen to me. And the Lord said to me, ‘Enough from you; do not speak to me of this matter again.’”

Judges - “Ehud escaped while they delayed, and he passed beyond the idols and escaped to Seirah.”

2 Samuel - “When Joab came out from David’s presence, he sent messengers after Abner, and they brought him back from the cistern of Sirah. But David did not know about it.”

1 Kings - “Then the woman whose son was alive said to the king, because her heart yearned for her son, ‘Oh my lord, give her the living child, and by no means put him to death.’ But the other said, ‘He shall be neither mine nor yours; divide him.’”

2 Kings - “When the king of Moab saw that the battle was going against him, he took with him 700 swordsmen to break through, opposite the king of Edom, but they could not.”

Nehemiah - “…and the temple servants living on Ophel repaired to a point opposite the Water Gate on the east and the projecting tower.”

Job - “I am not at ease, nor am I quiet; I have no rest, but trouble comes.”

Proverbs - “…for the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.”

Isaiah - “And her gates shall lament and mourn; empty, she shall sit on the ground.”

Lamentations - “It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.”

Ezekiel - “And I will make your tongue cling to the roof of your mouth, so that you shall be mute and unable to reprove them, for they are a rebellious house.”

Daniel - “Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the door of the burning fiery furnace; he declared, ‘Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out, and come here!’ Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out from the fire.”

Mark - “And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but is coming to and end.”

Luke - “…the son of Maath, the son of Mattathias, the son of Semein, the son of Josech, the son of Joda,…”

John - “And they came to John and said to him, ‘Rabbi, he who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you bore witness-look, he is baptizing, and all are going to him.”

Acts - “God, having raised up his servant, sent him to you first, to bless you by turning every one of you from your wickedness.”

Romans - “It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.”

Galatians - “…for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.”

Okay, so obviously, some verses (note that they are taken out of context) are depressing or incomplete thoughts.

The verse that stuck out to me was Daniel 3:26. This is the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Wow! What incredible faith these men had. That verse alone shows the supernatural miracle that God performed. They were in a blazing furnace, for goodness sake! If that isn’t amazing, I don’t know what is.

I enjoyed this. I think it shows that somebody doesn’t always have to get something out of what they read in the Bible. Granted, I did, but most of the verses here aren’t exactly God’s specific words to me. They’re important, yes, but it’s okay if I don’t get anything out of them.

Well, that’s all for now, haha. Thanks for reading.
